In April of 2008 I started writing a blog.
My good friend, Max, wrote a blog and did a podcast and we often got into discussions about one thing or another. Podcasts weren’t for me but I thought, why not try a blog? At the time I wasn’t thinking about writing novels, I just wanted to share my thoughts. Enter Utter Loonacy. That heralded the birth of what is now my pen name, Susannah Willey.
Max and I often went on photography trips, taking pictures of nature and wildlife. It didn’t take long before I started posting pictures from these trips and my blog became a place to share my photographs as well as my adventures.
It was a few years before I became serious about my writing, but soon enough, the focus of my blog turned to story-telling. I still posted nature photography and often simply wrote about life in general.
Now I’m a published author and, yes, that’s a prime subject on Utter Loonacy. I want to share the result of the seven long years of hard work it took to write War Sonnets. And you can also read about my not-ready-for-prime-time attempts as well (Hope and And Know They Love You). Those books might yet see the printed page but it will take a lot more work and polish before they’re ready.
In the meantime, I’ll keep you updated on War Sonnets. And writing. And photography. And life.
I hope you keep reading and enjoy the ride.

🎂congratulations 🌹
