Whaddaya mean it’s still January????
Will the snow gods never stop?
Our total is now over 130″ (our yearly average is 120″). And pity the poor north country. Their totals are nearly THREE TIMES as much as ours. Even the snowblower has given up.

Your snow totals are something else. Are you in New York State?
I live near Philadelphia. We got five or six inches of snow this past Sunday. That’s more than enough. I do not enjoy winter!

I am in Syracuse, NY The north country is east of Lake Ontario–what is known as Tug Hill. They are notorious for getting the most snow east of the Rockies.
I hate winter! (but not enough to move south–ever) The only saving grace is that, now I’m retired, I don’t have to go out in it.

I saw an article somewhere today that says we can expect pretty much the same all winter.

I keep saying we are 2/3 of the way through winter, what with February being a short month, and I count December, January, and February as winter. We have had twice the amount of rain here in the San Joaquin Valley as is normal for this time period, however, if we do not get more rain, we will be back in a drought situation. For the first time in 25 years, California is NOT in a drought.

Good to know somewhere can use all this precip. I’d send a few dumptruck loads your way if I could.
