How many of you out there have sisters? Ooh! Ohh! I do!
In fact I have two sisters: Kate is about 2-1/2 years older than I, Pat is nineteen months younger. We live in cities that are not close but not that far apart and, because we don’t see each other often, we make it a point to have a “sistas’ weekend” (this year it was actually Tuesday-Friday) once a year.

Neither of my sisters has a partner or children at home so they take turns hosting. Last week we met at Kate’s house for our annual get together.
“What do you do?” You ask?
Well… nothing really. It’s usually a two to three night thing and we go out to dinner at least one night. This year we met our brother and his wife for lunch one day. But other than that, we make no plans and that’s the way we like it. None of us are crazy about shopping, or crowds, or “keeping busy.” We just hang around and talk (or not) and enjoy each others’ company. We might watch a movie on Netflix or Amazon, or we might not.
But in those two or three days it’s like getting together with long lost friends except you have a whole lot more in common and you’ve known each other forever.
By the last day of our “weekend” we’re pretty much ready to be done. Two of us are itching for home, the other one wants her house back to herself.
But for a few days, it’s a blast.
Here’s to “Sistas’ Weekend” 2025!

Well said and all very true!
PS.. I like the cover with the soldier front and center way better
