Another Crazy Week

…But in other news, today is THE FIRST DAY OF MARCH!

As I write this post on Saturday, February 28, 10 am, the temperature outside is 50 degrees. We know it won’t last (in fact, the forecast for Sunday is in the 20s with a low of 7), but we’re a little giddy just the same. We can feel it…We can taste it… Don’t be a party pooper, Mother Nature, give us some spring!

This week has been a roller coaster. My partner, Charlie, slipped on some black ice and fractured two ribs. So, since Tuesday, his wish has been my command including chauffer duties, heating pad arranging, and even putting his socks on. It will take a few weeks to heal, but then he should be back to his old, restless self, and maybe we’ll have sunshine and warm temps to go along with it.

If I haven’t mentioned it before (and even if I have), proceeds from all sales (both Nostalgia and War Sonnets) during the months of March and April will go to support PTSD programs at the Vet Center in Canandaigua, NY. Cathie Dunn from the CoffeePot Book Club is hosting a Nostalgia blog tour from March 16-20, and fellow author, Janis Robinson Daly will feature a review of Nostalgia in her monthly newsletter. Please consider purchasing a book or two, and give some love to Cathie and Janis while you’re at it.

As they say, “that’s all the news that’s fit to print”, and here’s hoping good things are just around the corner.
