Published!

They say editing is the hardest part of writing.

I would disagree.

If you are an indie writer like me, the hardest part of writing is getting your book publishing-ready. This means formatting the interior and cover according to the rules set forth by the company that will print and distribute it. It seems each place has its own particular hoops you have to jump through to make your novel acceptable to them, and each company has its own rules–some of which seem needlessly sadistic.

I’ve spent the last couple of weeks working with my formatter/designer, getting everything “just right” only for the printing company to find something I’ve done “wrong.” We’re still working on it.

I normally work with Amazon and (for those who prefer to distance themselves from the smiley-faced retailer) Ingram Spark. Amazon has at last approved my submissions and both epub and print copies of Nostalgia will be available by December 17. Ingram Spark (IS) is still pending.

But–here’s the easy part for you: To order from either place, you only have to visit my website at utterloonacy.com where you will find pages for both of my books and links for ordering. Those pages are still in progress until I’ve received approval from IS. For now, if you’re okay with going the Amazon route you will find Nostalgia listed there–the ebook is ready for preorder now, print copies ready to order on the 17th.

Thank you in advance to my gracious readers. If you do read Nostalgia and find it to your liking, please post a review on Amazon or Goodreads.

    1. You (and anyone who wants the hard cover version) should consider purchasing from Ingram Spark (there will be purchase links on my website later this week). It has a very nice book jacket that is not available through Amazon. Let me know when you order it and I will send you a personally signed bookplate.

  2. I totally get it getting a book publishing-ready can be more stressful than writing! The formatting and submission rules are such a maze. Excited that Nostalgia will be on Amazon soon! Your attention to detail reminds me of the work done by The Legacy Ghost Writers helping authors navigate publishing while focusing on storytelling. Can’t wait to read it and leave a review!
